White Bear Lake Area Schools is currently offering In-Person Learning, with a Full Distance Learning option for those who choose it, for all students K-12+. Regardless of which learning model offered, we are committed to providing an engaging, equitable and quality learning experience for each student.

The nine elementary schools in the White Bear Lake Area School District serves students in kindergarten through 5th grades. Children are eligible to be enrolled in the White Bear Lake Area Public Schools if their legal address is within the boundaries of the school district. To enroll a child in kindergarten, he/she must be five years of age on or before September 1.

Academic Partnerships at Hugo
- As part of the Minnesota DNR School Forest Program, Hugo Elementary has designated nearly 4 acres that surround our school as the Hugo School Forest. Hugo students have the unique opportunity to explore math, art, science, language arts and geography as it relates to this outdoor classroom while gaining knowledge and developing respect of our natural world.
- Kyle, from the White Bear Center for the Arts, comes to our schools five times throughout the year to enrich our K-1 students by providing them a gateway to diverse art experiences.
